Ginger Candy Benefits And Dessert Recipes

Ginger candy may not sound like the snack you’ll reach for whenever you have a sweet tooth, but it is a delicious candy with many health benefits. Aside from eating it on its own, candied ginger can be used in a variety of ways, one of which is to turn it into a dessert. In this article, we’ll talk about ginger candy, its benefits and some recipes to try.

Benefits of Ginger Candy

Ginger is a tonic root used to treat a variety of ailments. Of the 115 chemical components found in a ginger root, all its benefits come from gingerols, the oily resin in the root that acts as an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent.

Ginger has numerous health benefits on its own, and ginger candy boasts many similar benefits too. They can aid in the relief of pain, inflammation, GI diseases, loss of appetite, motion sickness, nausea, and other types of pain and discomfort. However, ginger candy should be consumed in moderation because it still contains a significant amount of sugar.
